  1. Before you waste $500 on VISTA ask yourself this, do i download music, movies or pictures for FREE? if you answered yes than i recommend that you dont get sucked into vista. it is exactly the same as XP accept it looks cooler AND IT WAS DESIGNED TO BLOCK MUSIC AND MOVIE DOWNLOADING. think about it hundreds, thousands of bands trying to make money and everybody downloads thier songs off limewire or morpheus or where ever they can. and what about multimillionare movies, most people like you and i just download them. VISTA has come to gether with an idea, to block all websites that offer FREE DOWNLOADING, to block all P2P software. the other day i decided to upgrade my morpheus and to my surprise anything that i wanted to download would be blocked, i typed in a song, tried to download it and it says, THIS IS A COPY RIGHTED VERSION. they are taking over our entertainment. in 5 years vista will be installed on every computer in the world. go to your daily harvey norman or WOW catalogue and what do you see, every single laptop, pc, now comes with vista. vista only came out like a month ago they would have to be mad to offer it already installed. maybe if you listen to the song DOWNLOAD THIS SONG by MC LARS you will understand. pass this on. tell everybody you know, about VISTA. just amagin, teenagers of the future having to pay for their music and movies.
everywhere you look there is freakin vista. we have no choice they are forcing us to upgrade, thats why all the new computers and laptops are coming out with vista, and then you have to go and buy xp because your not happy with vista. it sucks
not to mention over 60 programs dont work on it including norton anti virus and trend micro. also MSN doesn’t work but i dont use it anyway.

  2. My Goodness this has been the worst upgrade microsoft has ever come up with. It’s not compatible with alot of software I have not been able to get one antivirus to work. Quickbooks is out unless you buy 2007. It’s the worst upgrade and quite unbelievable. Don’t waste your time. Also Mircosoft support is lousy they don’t support their own products it’s a shame. Disappointed to the max.

  3. HI GUYS,
I AM USING VISTA SINCE A COUPLE OF DAYS AND THERE ARE LOT OF ANTI-VIRUS PROGRAMS WHICH ARE WORKING & VERY MUCH COMPATIBLE WITH ALL IT’S EDITIONS,LIKE MCAFEE,AVG,AVAST,GF-SCURE,KASPERSKY,ETC.
PLUS,IT’S NOT TRUE THAT YOU WON’T BE ABLE TO DOWNLOAD ANYTHING FOR FREE USING THIS OPERATING SYSTEM.IT’S TRUE THERE ARE PROBLEMS USING P2P SOFTWARES AND I AM WORKING ON IT.BUT TRY WEBSITES,I AM SURE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DOWNLOAD THINGS.
IT IS BECAUSE MICROSOFT ALSO KNOWS THAT IF THEY STOP US FROM DOING THESE THINGS,WHAT WE ARE GOING TO DO AHEAD.
    TAKE CARE.

  4. mcaffe doenst work on vista thats a lie i got mcaffe that they said was compatible with vista and as soon as i installed it all hell vista stop working it wouldnt start up and everytime i restart my pc vista restarts it self everytime the pc turns on so now i keep it off caz it wont even give me 5 minute to uninstalled mcafee

  5. Okay guys you can get your P2P’s to work….the McAfee that comes with vista blocks any p2p. All you have to do is uninstall McAfee and use a differrent anti-virus….actually i reinstalled McAfee from another source. the one that comes with vista just wont let u use a p2p….disabling doesnt work either…you have to completely uninstall….if u uninstall everything except the scan and security center your p2p’s will work as well, i just got carried away lol. you loose your anti-phisihing protection though so i installed the earthlinktoolbar

  6. i dont know what to say, i have downloaded vista on my pc and my favorite antivirus , zone alarm internet security did not work on it and i had to buy spyware doctor , at first it worked so fine but after the 2nd restart my pc crashed up so i had to add.remove em all and now i work with a freeware antivirus that does not even recognize an easy virus , i have paid 150 dollars for windows vista and 60 dollars for zone alarm and 81 dollars for spyware doctors and now they asked me to install a new version of spyware doctor because the current version which i have it and which is the latest version … is not the latest version in vista’s eye…..i dont want my money back but i wish to get answers back

  7. i think Vista programmers were not fully paid by microsoft and they might have had a very good idea of ‘windows vista’but quit before the work was over. this os is not good for use. i my words- not finished

  8. I purchashed a laptop that had Vista, as well as Mcafee Security System preinstalled. Mcafee has NEVER worked properly. It locks up and NEVER runs scans, anymore. I thought it was because my subscription was out, sooo I spent $65 to renew it. It still wouldn’t work.

I’m looking for a new antivirus solution, now. I like Vista, but Mcafee does not seem to work well with it.

  9. I too bought a Dell Laptop this Jan 2008 with Vista on it and Mcafee installed on it. October now the Mcafee is telling me to reinstall the Mcafee Security again. Also I am not able to get the updates for Microsoft. I have reinstall Mcafee 5 times already, been to Dell Support and no help so far. I finally get used to Vista and now I am sick of it! Too many problems now and I am tired of it.

  10. Hi, tried and paid for spyware Doc, after disaster with Norton 360, which didn’t take out fake secu scans..SD just wiped the slate clean, an was overjoyed…then installed it on my Vista lAPTOP, HELL PROB AFTer prob, after prob,,,disinstalled it..downloaded Windows Defender aantispy, and bingo.. works great with Avast n Threatfire…but i keep my first love SD aside, for the heavy stuff, and in my opinion it gets to the nastys like no other,on xp yes, but Vista, no, no….Perhaps somebody can tell me why Spy Doc full scan took 6 hours on my Vista? couldn’t start my laptop sometimes,,,erratic about all?, but works like a dream with XP?…tIMO

  11. P.S,,,,,..I’ve got more than a sneeky feelin, that , heh, heh, ..that Windows an Defender(Windows) are in Cahoots??? about the long term process of Internet Security?? and my spies tell me that Windows seeks to control all that???..Hense the process of discrediting all other Security on the market???Am i paranoid?? hAVE WE ALL ,FINALLY BECOME pASSIVE CONSUMERS???or is there anybody out there???…Love Timoxxxx
